Let’s start :- Past Tense Simple examples in Hindi
पहचान :- वाक्य के अंत में आ, ऐ , ई (आया, गया, लिया) आया था, गया था, गये थे आदि आता है उस Tense को Past Indefinite Tense कहा जाता है।इस टेंस में Verb की दूसरी क्रिया का प्रयोग किया जाता है।
अगर वाक्य को Negative, interrogative और Interrogative Negative बनाना है तो Helping Verb Did का प्रयोग होगा और Verb की पहली क्रिया लगेगी।
Negative :-वाक्य को ना वाचक बनाने के लिए Helping verb Did के बाद ‘Not’ लगाया जाता है।
Interrogative: – प्रश्न वाचक बनाने के लिए Did को वाक्य के शुरुआत में Subject से पहले लगाया जाता है और अंत में प्रश्न वाचक चिन्ह (?) का प्रयोग होता है।
Interrogative Negative :-अगर वाक्य को प्रश्न वाचक और ना वाचक बनाना है तो helping verb Did को वाक्य के शुरुआत में Subject से ठीक पहले लगाया जाता है और ‘not’ Subject के ठीक बाद में लगाया जायेगा और अंत में प्रश्न वाचक चिन्ह (?) का प्रयोग होता है।
Rules in English:-

| 3) | Interrogative | Did +Sub+ v1 + obj? |
| 4) | Interrogative Negative | Did +Sub+ not+ v1 + obj? |
Examples:-

नोट :- Did के साथ हमेशा Verb की पहली क्रिया का प्रयोग होता है।
अगर वाक्य में कभी नहीं आता है तो ‘Never’ का प्रयोग होता है। Never के साथ Did Not का प्रयोग नहीं होता केवल वर्ब की दूसरी क्रिया लगेगी।
जैसे :- मैंने कभी झूठ नहीं बोला।( I never told a lie)
Past Indefinite Tense
Past indefinite indicates that the action described in a sentence has happened before and is not a current happening.
Example:
She watched television.
The example indicates that the action of watching was an event of the past.
A verb exists in past indefinite tense when it is in its simple second form.
Example:
The boy stood at the bus stop.
The above example is also that of past indefinite tense. Notice that the second form of verb stood is used which represents that time of action to be of past.
