Let’s start :- Present Continuous Tense (ਪ੍ਰਜ਼ੈਂਟ ਕੰਟੀਨਿਊਜ਼ ਟੈਂਸ)
ਪਹਿਚਾਣ :- ਵਾਕ ਦੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿਚ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਰਹੇ ਹੋ,ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ, ਰਹੇ ਹਨ,ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਆਦਿ ਆਉਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ Present Continuous Tense ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਹੈਲਪਿੰਗ ਵਰਬ is/am/are ਅਤੇ ਵਰਬ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਕਿਰਿਆ ਨਾਲ ing (First form of Verb + ing) ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। I ਦੇ ਨਾਲ “Am”, He/ she/ it/ any name/ singular ਦੇ ਨਾਲ “is” ਅਤੇ We/ You/ They/ Plural ਦੇ ਨਾਲ “are” ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
Negative :- ਨਾਂਹ ਵਾਚਕ ਵਾਕ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਲਈ helping verb is/am/are ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ not ਲਗਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Interrogative: – ਵਾਕ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ ਵਾਚਕ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ helping verb is/am/are ਨੂੰ ਵਾਕ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਵਿੱਚ (ਕਰਤਾ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ) ਲਗਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ ਚਿੰਨ੍ਹ (?) ਲਗਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Interrogative negative:- ਜੇਕਰ ਵਾਕ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ ਵਾਚਕ ਤੇ ਨਾਂਹ ਵਾਚਕ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ helping verb is/am/are ਨੂੰ ਵਾਕ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਵਿੱਚ (ਕਰਤਾ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ) ਅਤੇ not ਕਰਤਾ (Subject) ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਲਗਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ ਚਿੰਨ੍ਹ (?) ਲਗਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀ ਇਸ Post ਨੂੰ ਮੋਬਾਈਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੇਖ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ ਤਾਂ Mobile ਨੂੰ Horizontal (ਚੋੜੇ ਰੋਕ ਫੜੋ) ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀ ਇਸ Tense ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਮਝ ਸਕੋ।
Rules in English:-
| 1) | Simple | Sub+ is/am/are + v1 + ing+ obj. |
| 2) | Negative | Sub+ is/am/are +not +v1 +ing +obj. |
| 3) | Interrogative | Is/am/are +sub +v1 +ing +obj? |
| 4) | Interrogative Negative | Is/am/are +sub +not +v1 +ing +obj? |
Example:-

| 2) | ਉਹ ਪੱਤਰ ਨਹੀ ਲਿਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। | He is not writing a letter. |
| 3) | ਕੀ ਉਹ ਪੱਤਰ ਲਿਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ? | Is he writing a letter? |
| 4) | ਕੀ ਉਹ ਪੱਤਰ ਨਹੀ ਲਿਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ? | Is he not writing a letter? |
Level: beginner
The present continuous is made from the present tense of the verb be and the – ing form of a verb:

| They are | sleeping |

| 4) | ਕੀ ਉਹ ਏਥੇ ਨਹੀ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ? | Are they not coming here? |

| 4) | ਕੀ ਮੈਂ ਇੱਕ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਨਹੀ ਲਿਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ। | Am I not writing a story? |
